Multiple Commanders

You are allowed to have more than one commander at a time. You will need to follow the same procedures as you did when enlisting, however you
do not have to go through the training again. You will need to report directly to the 5. U-Flottille for assignment here

Remember you will need to setup a new account in the forum based on your new commander. From there you can begin your alternate career with the ubootwaffe.

The 5. U-Flottille will assign you to a Combat U-Flottille and a uboot.

Death of your Captain

If while on patrol your captain dies, you will need to do several things.

1. You will need to update your captain's Status (remember it is currently set to Front Uboot) in their Soldbuch/Profile to one of the following

A. Killed in Action
B. Missing in Action
C. Captured
D. Unknown

Once you have changed their Status you can sign up for a new captain by following the instructions above.

Type in your fate in the status blank like shown below:

Reassignment / Retirement of Your Kaleun

Once you have completed 12 combat patrols, your kaleun will usually be reassigned to shore duty. For example, as an instructor or kommandant of a
training flottille or maybe assigned to staff. Your kaleun can be called back into frontuboot service, for example when the new XXI uboote are introduced,
experienced kaleuns could be called upon.

WaW will have posted specific sites as a “Wall of Honor” for those kaleuns who complete all 12 combat patrols.

You will also need to change the status of your captain to Staff, to reflect his shore assignment.
